Am I Ready for the Future?

This text will be replaced

The 2015-2016 school year is off to a great start at Valley View High School!  I am so proud of our wonderful students and staff for working hard right out of the gate.  From what I am observing around campus, this will be another outstanding year.  I would like to encourage our students to continue working hard in their classes as well as outside of school hours.  Please remember, you can work on your classes at home and earn the necessary credit to make the goal of graduation a reality.

There is a lot of help and support available for both students and parents at Valley View.  Students, you have the opportunity for one-on-one help from your teachers during class time.  Keep the goal of graduation in the forefront of your mind, and advocate for yourself:  Ask for help whenever you need it!  Parents, we are hoping to create a true partnership with you in helping your student succeed in school.  If the three main forces – students, parents, and Valley View staff – are all working together, graduation is within reach!  We hope our parents and guardians will stop by at any time to see an administrator or counselor.  You may also easily reach your student’s teachers with School Loop.

Our goal is to support our students in earning the credit they need to make up in time to return to their home school and graduate, graduate from Valley View High School, or put themselves in a position to earn a 5th year to finish up their graduation requirements.  Another goal we have is have our parents connected to the school.  The Chaffey Joint Union High School District is firmly committed to having all of our students graduate ready for college and careers.  These are certainly goals that are worth working hard to achieve!

Students, you are fortunate to be at a high school that is designed to help you make up credit at your own pace, receive individual help from their teachers, and work to earn credits as quickly as you want.

Our first credit check ends on September 4th.  We have a school wide goal of every student earning at least 10 credit s per credit check.  If you work hard and ask for help when you need it, you can earn your 10!

Finally, please remember that we have a holiday on September 7th for Labor Day.  Work hard and enjoy some time away from your labors at school!
