Valley View High School is the only continuation high school in the Chaffey Joint Union High School District.  Student enrollment is approximately 500 students.  Valley View High School serves students who are deficient in credits, and offers opportunities for students to earn credit at an accelerated rate.  Students are referred to Valley View by counselors from their home schools following a meeting with students, parents, and counselors.  School starts at 8:05 a.m.

Monday through Thursday, and ends at 2:54 p.m.  School begins at 9:00 a.m. on Friday and ends at 2:55 p.m. on Friday.  During the regular bell schedule on Monday through Thursday, students attend 6 periods in the day, with each period being 59 minutes.  On Fridays, students attend 6 periods, with each period being 50 minutes.

The core subjects are taught using the blended instructional model, which includes online instruction as well as small group instruction.  This model allows students to accelerate credit recovery using the E2020 online learning platform, as well as receive intensive instruction to improve vital academic skills.
