ValleyView High School

“An Educational Journey to Success”

Valley View High School is a continuation high school in the Chaffey Joint Union High School District.  Student enrollment is approximately 450 students.  Valley View High School serves students who are deficient in credits, and offers opportunities for students to earn credit at an accelerated rate.  Students are referred to Valley View by counselors from their home schools following a meeting with students, parents, and counselors.

School starts at 8:05 a.m. Monday through Thursday, and ends at 2:55 p.m. During the regular bell schedule on Monday through Thursday, students attend 6 periods in the day, with each period being 59 minutes.  On Fridays, students attend 6 periods, with each period being 50 minutes.  The late start Fridays allow the staff to meet for collaboration and other school business.

The core subjects are taught using computer-based instruction.  This model allows students to accelerate credit recovery using the Edgenuity online learning platform.  In the previous two school years, Valley View High School has been updated to allow for digital technology.  Awnings and a shade structure have been added to provide student comfort.
